Dalmatian Stone is an igneous microcrystalline quartz with a mixture of other minerals including feldspar, alkali amphiboles, epidote + hematite that create the speckled look. It's only found in Chihuahua, Mexico. It isn't actually a Jasper + is properly known as Dalmatian Stone for its similarity to the distinctive black + white spotted dog breed.
The black spots are a mineral, likely hematite, that is slightly magnetic + are thought to diffuse stress + absorb negativity. Dalmatian Stone is a good stone to keep in the bedroom as it's thought to help dispel nightmares.
