Rare + coveted Dendritic Quartz specimens have just arrived from Madagascar! This small but gorgeous freeform gem cut crystal has several well-formed, two-toned tree-like black + rusty orange fractals of dendrites suspended in remarkably clear Clear Quartz with luminous Girasol qualities.
This is a unique + beautiful specimen from nature's garden with two colors of dendrites! Dendritic quartz contains fern-like inclusions of iron, manganese, hematite and/or other metallic oxides that grow in a fractal pattern within the stone. The word “Dendrite” comes from the Greek word “Dendron” meaning tree.
