Opal

Opal is a hydrated amorphous form of silica with a high water content, typically between 6%-10%. Its an amorphous mineraloid, basically a watery solid. Opal comes in a wide range of colors including blue, white, yellow, green, purple, brown, black, gray, red, orange + pink. Opal is considered a stone of hope, purity + truth + is one of the October Birthstones.
